Application
The Capital Health Family Medicine Residency Program accepts applications exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®). Applications for five PGY-1 positions are accepted in accordance with the annual ERAS timeline. After review, selected applicants will be invited to interview via email. Interviews will be conducted through the Thalamus platform. All positions are filled through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

Minimum Requirements
Applicant must:
- Enroll in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) match
- Be graduating from or be a graduate of a medical college accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or an international medical school with formal U.S. clinical rotation training.
- Have graduated medical school within two (2) years of applying for residency.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder). We do not accept or sponsor visas. Applications with a valid employment authorization document (EAD) will be reviewed and invited, pending other aspects of the application
Application must include:
- Dean’s letter of recommendation
- Medical school transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation (written within the past 24 months)
- USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1 must be completed prior to application. Applicants are encouraged to complete USMLE Step 2 or COMLEX Level 2 prior to an interview.
- ECFMG certification, if applicable
- Personal statement
If transferring from another program, applicant must have at least three years of remaining Medicare funding for residency training.
