As part of our Capital Healthy Students initiative, we invited local middle school students grades sixth through eighth to participate in our "Post Positive" public service announcement (PSA) video contest. This campaign challenged students to explore the impacts of social media on mental health and create peer-to-peer messages promoting kindness, encouragement, and respectful communication both online and in-person. After receiving a total of 547 entries, which is a new record in the five-year history of the Capital Healthy Students initiative, prizes were awarded in four categories: Most Creative, Most Impactful, Best Messaging, and Honorable Mention. Each winning school received $2,000 for their PTO/PTA to support future student programs and activities.
